Care Guide
Care Guide
Your IvoryPrairie robe is designed to bring beauty and comfort into everyday routines. Proper care helps preserve the softness of the fabric, the clarity of the print, the drape of the garment, and the appearance of decorative details such as fringe, borders, and wide sleeves.
Gentle care helps maintain color, drape, and printed detail.
Cool water and mild detergent are preferred for preserving fabric and print quality.
High temperatures can affect fabric finish, color, drape, and decorative details.
Avoid harsh bleach, strong chemicals, and rough washing cycles whenever possible.
Keep robes clean, dry, and away from prolonged direct sunlight when not in use.
Before Washing
Before cleaning your robe, check the garment label and inspect the fabric for stains, makeup, or areas that may need gentle spot treatment. Close or secure the belt loosely so it does not become tangled during washing.
- Separate light and dark colors where practical.
- Do not wash with rough items such as denim, towels, hooks, or garments with exposed zippers.
- For fringe-trimmed robes, place the garment inside a large mesh laundry bag if using a washing machine.
- Avoid soaking for long periods, especially with brightly printed fabrics.
Use a gentle process to protect printed details.
Washing
For the best long-term appearance, gentle hand washing is a safe choice for many printed robes. If machine washing is used, select a delicate or gentle cycle with cool water.
- Use a mild liquid detergent designed for delicate or colored garments.
- Avoid chlorine bleach and aggressive whitening products.
- Do not overload the washing machine, as excessive friction can affect the fabric surface.
- Wash fringe styles with additional care to reduce twisting and tangling.
Drying
Air drying is generally preferred. After washing, gently reshape the robe and allow it to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area.
Avoid prolonged exposure to intense direct sunlight because strong sunlight may gradually affect printed colors. High-temperature tumble drying is not recommended for delicate printed robes or fringe-trimmed styles.
Steaming & Ironing
Light steaming is often the easiest way to remove wrinkles while preserving the fluid drape of the garment. Use a low-temperature setting and keep the steamer moving rather than concentrating heat in one area.
- Use low heat if ironing is necessary.
- Iron on the reverse side where possible.
- Place a clean pressing cloth between the iron and delicate printed surfaces.
- Avoid direct high heat on fringe, decorative trims, or special surface finishes.
Special Care for Fringe Robes
Fringe styles such as the Porcelain Reverie Fringe Robe and Morning Mist Fringe Robe require slightly more careful handling. Fringe can naturally move, twist, or overlap during wear and washing, so gentle treatment helps maintain a neat appearance.
After washing, carefully separate the fringe with your fingers while damp and allow it to hang naturally. Avoid brushing aggressively, pulling individual strands, or exposing the fringe to strong tumble-drying action.

Storage
Store your robe only when it is completely dry. A broad hanger can help maintain the shoulder shape and reduce creasing. For long-term storage, keep the garment in a clean, dry wardrobe away from direct sunlight and excessive moisture.
If folding for travel, place the robe loosely in your luggage and avoid placing heavy objects directly on fringe or decorative edges. After unpacking, hang the robe and allow natural creases to relax before steaming if needed.
